La Argentina del 2014: LOS SALUDOS ENTRE LOS HOMBRES
Las generaciones nuevas van modificando las costumbres
y con ello cambia la cultura de toda una sociedad.
Yo nací en una Argentina en la que los hombres se
daban la mano, con mucha seriedad y mucha fuerza; también a veces se palmeaban
la espalda o el hombro como para enfatizar la alegría de verse.
Hoy los muchachos jóvenes se dan un beso en la mejilla
y se palmean el hombro o la espalda. Esto es un gran acercamiento físico que
condice con el acercamiento emocional expresado y un triunfo de los jóvenes
sobre un canon que no permitía la expresión pública de afecto a los hombres.
The new generation
is changing habits and with those changes the culture and the entire society is
being changed.
I was
born in an Argentine tradition in which men would always shake hands, very
stern and firmly, also often they would slap each other on the shoulders and/or
back, as a way of emphasizing the joy to have met.
Today´s
young men kiss one another on their cheeks and give a gentle pat on the
shoulders and/or back. This is a big step towards closer physical encounter
that expresses an emotional bond and the triumph of the new generation over a
rule that didn’t allow men to publicly express their feelings openly.
